The Senior Cloud Security Architect will report to the CISO and interact with stakeholders across all technology teams including the firms Technology, Compliance, DevOps, QA, and Operations Teams. You will be responsible to help design, build, monitor and maintain our security cloud infrastructure through the use of bleeding edge security tooling and process solutions. You will help to ensure data security and integrity across all cloud and on-prem platforms, constantly evolving the firm’s security program.

What you will do:

  • Deploy and administer endpoint security solutions
  • Improve existing functionality, its design, and methodologies
  • Work closely with other core members on the team
  • Participate in identifying tools to secure CI/CD pipelines, and source control such as GIT and GitLab
  • Perform risk assessments for new applications integrating with core services
  • Identify, resolve, and mitigate vulnerabilities on GCP cloud systems, from;
  • Secure configuration, container and system hardening
  • Vulnerability scanning and assessments
  • Operational and runtime practices and procedures
  • Log and event analysis and alerting
  • Perform penetration testing against infrastructure, platform, and applications
  • Manage firewalls, load balancers, and web application firewalls (WAF)
  • Assist in the creation of cybersecurity standards and implementing security best practices across all technology platforms, following industry standard frameworks
  • Identify and evaluate risks in the cloud infrastructure and work with stakeholders to mitigate
  • Ability to mentor & coach others while providing effective time management
  • Participate in investigations, and remediation for security events and incidents
  • Develop & maintain documentation for procedures, tooling, and events
  • Maintain keen awareness of the cloud infrastructure security landscape and emerging threat vectors

What you will need to have:

  • Minimum 4 years’ hands-on security experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), (AWS & Azure optional), or on-prem equivalent
  • Possess high level understanding of security risks as they apply to cloud solutions; network & data segregation; data protection; infrastructure management
  • Hands-on experience managing and maintaining WAF’s, firewalls and load balancers
  • Ability to work without supervision, with proven ability to prioritize
  • Experience with open-source software and cloud services
  • Experience working with DevOps and SRE Teams
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to evangelize best practices for security across all teams and management
  • Strong experience with Linux-based infrastructures, and administration of GCP or AWS
  • The ability to take ownership and see initiatives through completion in timely manner
  • Bachelor’s degree or greater in IT or Computer Science highly preferred
  • Experience in Google Cloud Security; IAM; GCP SCC; gRPC; GLB; Cloud Armor

  • Strong experience with networking fundamentals

  • The ability to take ownership and see initiatives through
  • Experience working in an agile development environment
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to explain technical systems with team and management
